What is Protecting the Pets PAC?

The Protecting the Pets (PAC) is a bipartisan, nonprofit, political committee formed to raise contributions from our members to provide needed financial support to ensure safe and effective veterinary centered legislation

What does Protecting the Pets PAC do?

The purpose of our PAC is to provide veterinarians a rally point to coordinate our grassroots efforts as well as collect donations to back these efforts with the necessary financial support to ensure our voices are heard and the integrity of the profession is maintained. 

Why join the PAC?

By joining the Protecting the Pets PAC, you will be notified promptly of important legislation that may affect you, your practice, or veterinary medicine as a whole. You will be part of a network that cares deeply for the veterinary medical profession and will be connected to any grassroots efforts that are initiated to preserve the integrity of our profession. Any financial contributions will directly be applied to these efforts. 

Do I have to donate money to join the PAC?

You do not have to make a monetary contribution to be part of the PAC. There are many tasks such as emailing, meeting with local legislators, participating in phone trees, and much more that are very important parts of our grassroots efforts. With that said, many opportunities and advantages are only possible when skilled lobbyists and those trained in politics and public relations are employed. By donating, you will help us level the playing field, and neutralize the opposing forces often backed by big business. By hiring these skilled individuals, it allows us to focus on what we do best...see patients!

Who can donate/be a member of the Protecting the Pets PAC?

Anyone can donate or be a member. You don't have to be a veterinarian, or live in Florida to donate.
